You\'re quick to grasp complex concepts and can effectively communicate intricate ideas.Role Description:Developing algorithms to make the Decision Engines, especially focusing on Route Optimisation, faster, smarter and scalable.Translating your ideas into code and watch the real world impact in near real timeWriting production level code and reviewing the Python codebase.Communicating with sales and client-facing teams to understand how the solution is behaving on the ground.Analysing the output to understand how and where it can be improvedBenchmarking against both human solutions and published datasets.Reviewing current literature on routing and optimisation and finding applications for relevant use- casesConverting fuzzy product/ business requirements into concrete problem statementsInnovation Commitment Ambition Integrity PrideQualifications:Are Masters and above in a STEM field or Bachelors with 2+ years of work experienceCan write Python code in an efficient and idiomatic manner, including NumpyHave the ability to work in a collaborative environmentPossess critical and creative thinkingArmed with:Software engineering experience with large codebases (more than 10k LoC), including personal projects is a big plusExperience with other languages such as C/C++ is a definite plusExperience in logistics and supply chain industries is a big plusAt Locus, every member is an owner and a leader, no matter which team or Function they represent.
