Visit to learn more!Role Summary/Purpose:The Computer Vision (CV) engineer will be responsible for establishing data-driven model-based and hybrid approaches to implement effective CV algorithms for the KinetiX platform.Essential Responsibilities:Take ownership of model building, deployment under the guidance of Tech lead/Architect.Collaborate well with the team members.Develop unit, Integration & System test cases/Scripts.Work closely with required teams to ensure business functionality is delivered on time.Skilled in writing code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.Skilled in core data structures and algorithms and implements them using language of choice.Flexible and Quick learner.Be an excellent problem solver.Understand working of equipment under field usage conditions.Evaluate available data sources, clean-up and analysis on large data sets.Develop analytics-based algorithms for predicting component health or failures.Develop and maintain a working knowledge of diesel locomotives and its subsystems to ensure data integrity and design relevant solutions.Pre-processing of existing datasets.Research, develop and implement end to end Machine Learning and timeseries analytics solutions for batch and streaming applications.Draw inferences and conclusions, identify trends & anomalies from available data (and create dashboards and visualizations of processed data - optional)Translate analytical insights into actionable recommendations.Qualifications/Requirements:Master\xe2\x80\x99s in Engineering in ECE /Computer Science /EEE /IT or in \xe2\x80\x9cSTEM\xe2\x80\x9d Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with 2+ years of experience.Expertise in data modeling tools / programming languages such as Python.Analytical problem-solving techniques.Trained on machine learning & statistical modeling tools.Strong oral / written communication and interpersonal skills.Technical Expertise:Hands on experience with 2D and 3D Machine Vision algorithms with traditions and AI/ML techniques.Data analytics skills: Data acquisition, wrangling, performing EDA, Normalization, standardization, model creation, and data visualizationExperience in working with streaming data.Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Pattern and coding principles.2+ years of experience in developing python services, rules.1+ years of experience working in any one of the cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).Experience with databases MySQL, NoSQL Databases (Cassandra, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB) and Relational DBs (Postgres).Linux OS + shell, shell scripting and automation experience is desired.Experience with RMQ, Kafka, MQTT would be desired.Desired Characteristics:Should have strong knowledge in programming using Python.Possess good understanding of software testing process.Personal Attributes:Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.Effective team building and problem-solving abilities.Demonstrate the ability to quickly understand and learn new concepts, in analytics and other supporting technologies.Our Commitment to Embrace Diversity:Wabtec is a global company that invests not just in our products, but also our people by embracing diversity and inclusion.
