We want to make insights from earth observation data accessible to all. The Data Science team is at the forefront of SatSure\'s data-driven decision intelligence platform. It forms the backbone of strategy and product development. The team works in a highly collaborative and cross-functional manner with geospatial researchers, ML engineers, and business analysts. The solutions that we design span from agrifinance to construction monitoring, and impact fields ranging from power transmission to sustainability. You will be actively involved in developing innovative datasets for improving access to finance for farmers in India and globally. Role: As a Data Scientist, you will be expected to work on understanding business objectives and developing models that help to achieve them, along with metrics to track their progress. You will collaborate with different teams and work together to identify and influence change to adopt optimized decision-making solutions. Responsibilities: Driving a culture of data-driven business solutions Study the interdependency of remote sensing-derived data with other auxiliary datasets. Identifying improvements for DS/ML models used in production Come up with metrics for measuring product improvements and own the reporting and tracking of them Framing proper hypothesis and designing proper experiment framework to test metrics Collaborate with data scientists to provide input on study protocol, and design studies. Planning and implementation of data quality assurance plans. Keep updated on new developments and research in the field of statistical learning and quality assurance. Proactively seek out opportunities to build new solutions Must have: 2 - 3 years of work experience as a Data Scientist. 4+ years of programming in Python Experience working with large-scale data in mixed-method research A proven ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly. Expert-level proficiency in statistical/ML predictive techniques Ability to develop novel solutions rather than look for readily available options An ability to translate complex topics and tools into easy-to-understand concepts to explain the impact of developed models to the stakeholders and peers Experience in applying statistical skills, such as identifying distributions, statistical testing, regression, classification, clustering, etc. A track record of helping cross-functional product teams identify and prioritize analytics needs and experimentation opportunities that will deliver high-quality, data-driven insights on time using the appropriate methodologies Good to have: Experience working with Amazon Sagemaker Knowledge of remote sensing and high-resolution satellite imagery Experience handling geospatial datasets Past experience in working with business/product teams Experience in financial modeling Proven ability to communicate highly technical results to a diverse audience Educational Qualifications: Master\'s degree/Bachelor\'s degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science or equivalent Domain Knowledge: Modeling financial data, Understanding of DS/ML modeling, Analytical mind, ability to dissect data from all perspectives, Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra), business intelligence) Why Us Opportunity to work on a unique and futuristic technology setup Flat organizational structure and accessibility Best-in-class leave policy Additional allowances for learning, skill development, broadband, medical insurance cover, etc.
