About Role: We are looking for a motivated and meticulous Data Quality Specialist to join our Data Delivery team. As a Data Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that we are delivering high-quality biomedical data to our clients with high throughput. You will also be responsible for defining and optimising the QA process for all existing and new data product offerings. The ideal candidate would also be able to improve the efficiency of the team and process by introducing technology enabled improvements.
Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring strict adherence to the defined standards for all data deliveries based on Elucidata\xe2\x80\x99s quality standard as well as customer requirements
• Diligently reporting any discrepancies or irregularities found in the data to the dedicated Data Products team for prompt resolution, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and reliability
• Meticulously developing comprehensive and well-structured test plans that are clear, concise, and leave no room for ambiguity, and then executing these plans with utmost precision and attention to detail
• Define a robust Data QA process that must be followed meticulously before any new data release, ensuring that no compromise is made on the quality and integrity of the data
• Continuously exploring opportunities to make the entire QA process more efficient, scalable, and adaptable to future advancements in technology
• Automate majority of the quality checks over time

Qualifications:

• Must haves:
• Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Biotechnology, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics or related field
• Strong understanding of Biomedical data
• Ability to read and interpret biomedical research papers
• Ability to understand preclinical drug discovery use cases at a high level and ensure the presence of enough context in the curated metadata being delivered
• Programming skills (preferably Python/R) to automate certain data checks
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Nice to haves:
• Some prior experience in Software and/or Data Quality Assurance would be a bonus
• Understanding of Omics (Genomics, Transcriptomics etc.) as well non-Omics (Flow Cytometry data etc.) data
