This is the number of associates in Global Analytical R&D, across 4 countries, working tirelessly on innovative and patient centric medicines The Data Quality Expert (DQE) is responsible to set-up and maintain dynamic objects in the digital landscape for all Analytics functions globally within TRD. The DQE is responsible for the correctness and timely update of dynamic master data in the systems and supports all life-cycle activities. The DQE monitors data quality, identifies causes for poor data quality and takes appropriate action to improve data quality. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: . Creates and maintains global dynamic master and reference data in systems . Support LUs in the transcription and set up of relevant records in corresponding IT-systems (e.g. LIMS Specifications, Stability protocols, etc.). . Coordinates and aligns with relevant stakeholders to initiate or update master data . Supports global project teams and line functions for the requests and all changes to data objects . Works closely with relevant governance boards to support governance . Responsible for the timely update of global and site specific / local Master Data for all sites globally . Improve End-user satisfaction. . Training, Education, Support. Guide, train and educate users and End Users in use and best practices in key applications . Support the line functions during user acceptance testing activities including test case design, test execution and defect management to ensure successful project go-lives. . Monitor and optimize system performance as well as interfaces/linkages between existing IT systems, to enhance operational efficiency, data integrity and quality. . Give guidance to team members. Provide coaching and technical training as subject matter expert or recognized technical expert. Act as mentor for junior associates . Support and foster spirit of an inspired, curious and agile learning organization, including best practice sharing across digitalization projects. . Regularly track and follow the data quality and ensure it is fit for consumption and follows pre-defined rules. . Independently monitor the level of data quality of individual data sources & datasets as per define business metrics and produce Data Quality Dashboards . Analyze data quality enrichment and cleansing request from Data Stewards and Data Champions . Provide feedback and improve the Data Quality strategy, metrics and framework . Devise and implement the data cleansing and linking strategy . Lays out plan for Data Quality corrections . Liaise with the Data Stewards, Process Owners and Data Solution Designer to realize agenda of continuous and active Data Governance . Responsible for rolling out the periodical Data Quality assessments, DQ KPI measurements, Gap analysis & Continuous improvement to ensure that active Data Governance is achieved, and data quality meets business requirements . Acts as role model for Novartis values and behaviors. Diversity & Inclusion / EEO Minimum Requirements WHAT YOU\'LL BRING TO THE ROLE: . Education: Advanced degree in science of relevant discipline (Ph.D., MSc or equivalent). Familiar with existing IT tools (e.g. eLN, GLIMS, SAP) and strong interest in new digital tools. . Knowledge in quality principles driving drug development such as GMP understanding of general regulatory and quality expectations. . Good scientific background, communication skills including presentation and scientific/technical writing. . Minimum 3 years in relevant position in a GMP environment. . Sound technical and regulatory knowledge. Working knowledge in pharmaceutical research and technical development. . Experienced in GMP environment, with familiarity of IT systems (e.g. eLN, GLIMS, SAP), and interfaces between different data tools.
