Role

• Become the subject expert in DB Backup solutions
• Engage in engineering phases of backup software and related storage solutions delivery including planning, design, build, testing, automation, and transition to operational support
• Work closely with vendors and suppliers on support and maintenance of current and new releases
• Assist in the development of test automation and automation for enabling self-service solutions
• Provide input to analysis, design and direction regarding performance management and capacity planning services with regard to backup infrastructure and related processes

Essential

• Experience with backup technologies, specifically for large databases (Oracle/RMAN and MS SQL)
• Operating systems knowledge, including Windows and Linux, is required
• Good understanding of networking and storage technologies

Desired

• Large scale Enterprise backup solutions
• Scripting / automation experience using Ansible/Python/Visual Basic or Power Shell

Experience

• Experience in other functional roles (architect, capacity planning, server builds, ) to supplement operational experience
• 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience of backup and storage technologies
• Must be a self-starter and motivator that can excel in working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Education:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
