Job Summary:- Installation, configuration, and administration of Data Platforms, ETL tools, data science, and Data Visualization tools software and hardware.
- Monitoring platform performance and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime.
- Automating routine tasks for improved data platform efficiency.
- Integration of various source systems and applications to data platform.
- Implementation and management of Data Platforms security policies.
- Assisting in performance tuning of Data Platforms, ETL tools, data science, and Data Visualization tools.
- Monitoring cluster resource usage and planning for capacity growth.
- Collaboration with data analysts, data scientists, data engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensuring data security and compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Management and optimization of Database & Data Lake.
- Code deployment to production in standard ways.
- Ensuring governance, availability, continuity, security, and operational excellence of IT services.
- Supporting technology adoption and digital transformation.
- Compliance with industry standards, security benchmarks, and best practices.
- Developing staff skills.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field with 3+ years of experience in Big Data platforms.
- Proficiency in Hadoop cluster management and other Big Data applications.
- Understanding of infrastructure and hardware configurations across various environments.
- Knowledge in capacity planning, sizing, backup, disaster recovery, and IT service continuity management.
- Experience in stakeholder and vendor management.
- Good knowledge in Windows and Redhat OS management, SQL, Apache Spark, Kafka, and networking concepts and protocols.
- Relevant certifications in Big Data technologies or Cloudera administration are preferred.Must Have:3+ years of experience working in implementations for Big Data platforms (CDH/ CDP/ HDP), source system integration, and performance tuning.
Experience in data warehousing, should have exposure to HIve and Impala.
Proficiency in Hadoop cluster management within Cloudera environments and other Big Data applications.
Strong understanding of infrastructure and hardware configurations across on premise, hybrid cloud, and cloud environments.
Knowledge and experience in capacity planning, sizing, backup, disaster recovery, business continuity management, and IT service continuity management (ITSCM).
Familiarity with security controls implementation, Kerberos authentication and Ranger Authorization.
Hands-on experience in day-to-day operational tasks such as monitoring, performance tuning, and generating management reports.
Hands-on experience in Linux OS like Redhat, Centos etc mustGood to have:Experience with release management, CI/CD, and containerization, CML, NIFI
Relevant certifications in Big Data technologies or Cloudera administration are preferred
Good knowledge in SQL
Good organizational and time management skills
Good understanding of big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark and Kafka
Good understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
