As the Data Operations Associate, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our Data
Operations defaults team. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end data operations process,
ensuring the collection of comprehensive dataset on public firms, default risk drivers, financial information.
\xe2\x96\xaa Conduct research of foreign & domestic companies to locate information on defaults and
bankruptcies using a variety of sources including financial reports, news and online sources.
\xe2\x96\xaa Standardize data from multiple sources for example Google, Factiva, Bloomberg for input into a
centralized MA Public Default Database.
\xe2\x96\xaa Review and maintain the quality of collected information, source search, extracting and reporting
information
\xe2\x96\xaa Analyse default data and be comfortable with R and relational databases.
\xe2\x96\xaa Provide support to the internal research team regarding data validation, credit risk model
monitoring, case studies of defaulted companies.
\xe2\x96\xaa Develop and maintain data quality metrics and performance indicators to monitor the effectiveness
of data operations, producing regular reports and dashboards for key stakeholders.
\xe2\x96\xaa Continuously evaluate and enhance data operations processes, identifying opportunities to
automate, streamline, and improve efficiency and effectiveness.
\xe2\x96\xaa Creating or maintain scripts in Python/R to download /scrape the data from different API\'s and help
cleansing and processing the same into our centralised database.
\xe2\x96\xaa Support other ad-hoc projects/requests related to regional and global initiativesQualifications:
\xe2\x96\xaa Bachelor degree in IT and Masters in Finance would be required or vice-versa.
\xe2\x96\xaa Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in a business analysis/ strategy role within a financial services,
consulting institution or other research, data and analytics provider
\xe2\x96\xaa Business Level English is a must
\xe2\x96\xaa Strong quantitative and problem solving abilities
\xe2\x96\xaa Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects with tight
deadlines.
\xe2\x96\xaa Excellent organizational and communication (verbal/written) skills
\xe2\x96\xaa Ability to read and understand financial reports such as 10K and 10Q
\xe2\x96\xaa Familiarity with foreign and domestic bankruptcy/insolvency laws is a strong plus
\xe2\x96\xaa Knowledge and experience in MS Access, MS Excel, SQL, R, Python, AWS preferred
\xe2\x96\xaa Familiarity with US GAAP, IFRS, and other regional accounting principles is a plus
\xe2\x96\xaa Reading ability in other foreign languages (e.g. Mandarin, German, Spanish, Portuguese, etc.) is a
