The Global Supply Management (GSM) Function is recognized as a critical function for business success. Purpose of Position:
This role focuses on the execution of data improvement strategies, ensuring superior data quality and governance across various platforms and tools. The Data Management Analyst is responsible for defining, receiving, processing, and executing data improvement requests for data utilized by the Global Supply management professionals. This includes supplier data, transaction spend data, operating unit data, purchased goods/services descriptive metadata, savings data, and much more.
Day to Day Responsibilities: (role within group / projects within group)
• Create material records on the ERP.
• Develop and execute strategies to clean up and standardize supplier and material records within the database.
• Oversee the development and execution of data standards, data quality rules, and data governance.
• Manage the organization's master data set, create reports, and troubleshoot data issues.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure material data needs are met and data is consistent across all platforms.
• Develop and implement data improvement strategies to enhance data quality and reliability.
• Conduct data analysis to identify and understand trends, issues, and opportunities.
• Maintain and update data systems as necessary, ensuring that data regulations and policies are adhered to.
• Create and maintain documentation of procedures, data dictionaries, and data models.
• Train and support users on new systems and procedures.
• Ensure completeness and integrity of data within the Ariba spend visibility platform through effective data management and integration.
• Facilitate and enable the implementation of data governance policies and procedures to ensure the proper category classification for all materials and procurement items.
• Provide the necessary tools and systems for maintaining consistency and accuracy across the database.
• Analyze existing supplier data to identify inconsistencies, duplicates, and inaccuracies.
• Process data improvement requests received via SharePoint and Click 3000.
• Extract data from ERP systems (PSOFT, SAP), and other applications (Ariba, Standard Naming Tools).
• Align data improvements across different applications and coordinate with third-party data improvement providers (i.e. Ariba, ECCMA, Bristlecone).
• Generate monthly data improvement metric reports and perform quality checks as per standard operating procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Corporate policies and procedures such as Data Privacy / Safe Harbor, Information Protection, Ethics Policy, Buying Policy, Code of Conduct, etc.
Scope of Position
• Data used by Global Supply management professionals which includes, supplier data, transaction spend data, operating unit data, purchased goods/services descriptive meta data, savings data.
• Proven experience in a data management role.
• Strong knowledge of data analysis tools and databases.
• Strong understanding of data management concepts including data modeling, data quality, and data governance.
• Data extraction from (queries) and upload to (click 3000) SAP and PSOFT
• Term and data dictionary
• Ariba Spend Visibility and Ariba platform data
• Standard Naming Tools - eMDV tool by ECCMA plus internal excel tools
• Data/information flow from requestor to supplier, buyer and category manager or SMSC service owner through the various ERP systems (COC SAP, CPM SAP, PSOFT, etc), interfaces (EPM, Biz Talk, Win shuttle) and GSM analytical platforms (Ariba, Tableau).
• Interaction with ongoing service providers (i.e. Ariba, Bristlecone, ECCMA) selected to support data improvement actions.
Required Skills {These are skills that candidates MUST possess}
• 2+ years of experience in creating suppliers and materials on ERPs.
• 2+ years of experience working with data quality and governance.
• Experience in analyzing supplier and material data and implementing data cleanup and standardization strategies.
• 2+ Experience with SAP, S4 Hana.
• Strong understanding of data governance policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in using different analytical or database platforms (i.e. Microsoft Access, Oracle, SQL, Business Objects, Tableau).
• Strong Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) Skills, with advanced skills (lookups, pivot tables, macros) in Excel.
• Fluent in English and able to concisely express thoughts in English.

• Candidate must have the basic understanding on the Data points being fed and used in their respective areas, and how are they important for the critical data analysis.
• +2 years' experience with managing data in Ariba Spend Visibility: Ariba SIM, Savings Tracker, Contracting; PSOFT or SAP
• Experience working with different cultures in a business environment
• Able to create and modify SharePoint views
• Experience with industry standards for transferring data between companies (i.e. certified as an ISO 8000 Master Data Manager or experience with ISO 8000/22745 standards)
• Engineering technical degree or +3 years as a technician
