Role Purpose:

The Data Governance SME will provide expert advice for data governance processes as part of SCM programs. As part of the Data Governance Team (DGT), responsibilities will primarily entail enforcing the data object definitions and governance processes to support data model and end-to-end data processes in support of the scope of programs.

The role requires the ability to define the data selection criteria and manage the transformation within the project scope to align with data processes (includes both master and transactional data relevant to the program).

The role will work closely with the Business teams (Process Owners, Process Excellence, MDG BAU team), Data Migration team, Policy & Compliance teams and facilitate development of the Business Objects Data Steward (BODS), tools for data quality reporting to manage the data quality of mock data loads. The role will be the key decision maker in finalizing when/how the project is handed over in BaU.

Deliverables

• Act as a subject matter expert from SCM data perspective,
• Develop Data Quality deliverables for Business-as-Usual reporting, including KPI\'s and Dashboard reporting for programs
• Evaluate and assist in identifying the program deliverables on parameters like, Impact on Reports, Impact on Interface, Impact on Data Model, Impact on additional t-code, Impact on workflow, impact on roles, Impact on system validations, Impact on data definition, data
• cleansing requirements (Data Conversion), impact any downstream process, identification of new field in the system, impact in the way we manage any process, delivery of controls and audits requirements
• Assist process governance team in documenting deviations from master data processes
• Document Master Data Operations Workarounds as part of the specific program
• Delivery of Data Model within SCM programs

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Delivery of Data Model and Governance processes within the Large SCM programmes
• Remain aligned with the SCM Process Owners, Process Excellence along with the Data Migration team, Local Market, Policy Owners & Compliance Teams and Process Governance teams to ensure the delivery of an integrated 100% functional solution.
• Responsible for approving any deviations from master data processes and documenting any master data workaround processes
• Work with business and IT experts to answer queries from other teams (e.g., on data governance aspects of delivering a deployment plan for Master Data).
• In alignment with the data migration lead to manage business sign-off of Master Data for the live environment.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

• Must have knowledge of SAP S4\\MDG for SCM (Business Partners, Materials, Catalogue and Contracts), deep understanding of business process re-engineering, extensive knowledge of how the particular program deliverables fits into larger system and process landscape
• Experience in Data Governance across various SCM systems like SAP S4/MDG, SAP Ariba, etc.
• End to end project management & delivery expertise, including resource and capacity planning, controlling, scope management.
• Excellent communicator both orally and in writing

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• Extensive hands-on experience preferably on SAP or other ERP suites, specifically on SCM processes
• Extensive experience of data Governance projects
• Knowledge of Supply Chain Management Systems
• Beneficial to have knowledge of Peoplesoft, Tibco, business process re-engineering, ETL tools such as Informatica, PL/SQL
• Experience in data quality management
