Job Description

Responsibilities:
1. Data Mapping Strategy: Develop data mapping strategies and methodologies to translate healthcare data
from diverse sources (e.g., electronic health records, claims data, clinical data) into standardized formats. Identify
mapping requirements, data elements, and business rules to ensure accurate and consistent data
transformations.
2. Healthcare Terminology Mapping: Perform mapping and standardization of healthcare terminologies, such
as ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED CT, and LOINC, to facilitate interoperability and meaningful data exchange.
3. Data Source Analysis: Analyse and understand the structure, content, and quality of healthcare data sources.
Identify data inconsistencies, gaps, and anomalies that may impact the data mapping process even though the
documentation for the same is not available. Collaborate with data engineers and data stewards to address data
quality issues.
4. Mapping Rule Development: Define and document mapping rules, algorithms, and logic to transform data
from source systems to target formats. Leverage mapping tools and technologies to automate and streamline the
data mapping process.
5. Data Validation and Testing: Conduct rigorous testing and validation of data mapping processes to ensure
accuracy and completeness. Develop and execute test cases, identify and resolve data mapping issues, and verify
data integrity across different systems.
6. Data Governance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with data governance policies and procedures.
Document data mapping specifications, mapping rules, and data lineage. Maintain metadata repositories and data
dictionaries for future reference.Skill Set Required are:
1. Mandatory Knowledge of - SQL data querying, database management & Healthcare Domain (RCM,
Practice Management, Billing Life Cycle)
2. Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers,
healthcare professionals, and end-users.
a. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
b. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
c. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.d. Prior experience in healthcare IT and familiarity with other healthcare information systems is a
plus.3. Multiple EMRs knowledge (front end and back end) , working with the Report Designer tool and other
application skills will be your advantage.
4. HL7, FHIR, Understanding of EHR architecture, including the various components, modules, and their
interdependencies.
5. Thorough documentation of data mapping processes, transformation rules, and system architecture for
future reference and maintenance.
