The junior associate designation of the data entry professional at Law Gate is responsible for accurately inputting, maintaining, and organizing legal information and documents into the firm\'s database or case management system. Day to day tasks include:
  • Data Entry: Entering various types of legal data into the system, this may include client information, case details, court filings, contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Ensuring the accuracy of data entry is crucial in a legal setting, as even small errors can have significant consequences. Attention to detail is essential to prevent mistakes in transcription or data entry.
  • Document Management: Organizing and maintaining electronic and physical files, including scanning, filing, and indexing documents for easy retrieval by client and director.
  • Database Management: Managing and updating the firm\'s database or case management system, including creating new records, updating existing ones, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Confidentiality and Security: Maintaining strict confidentiality of all legal information and documents, adhering to privacy regulations such as attorney-client privilege and data protection laws.
  • Assistant to director: Collaborating with the director and clients, to ensure accurate and timely document management. Communicating effectively regarding any discrepancies or issues with data.
  • Deadline Management: Prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines for data entry and document processing, especially in time-sensitive legal matters such as court filings and discovery deadlines.
  • Quality Control: Conducting quality checks on data entry work to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of legal information.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using computer software, ms office and office equipment for data entry and document management, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
Other requirements 1. Diploma or Bachelors degree or equivalent certification in management/Bcom/English honors/business/engineering/BTech or any other fields. 2. Proper written and verbal communication skills. 3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and knowledge of Microsoft OneDrive. 4. Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information. 5. Adaptability, dedication, and desire to learn new skills and procedures. 6. The junior associate is a versatile and highly driven individual performing a variety of tasks under the guidance and supervision of the director, contributing to the efficient operation of legal proceedings and client services.
