As a Data Engineer at Ericsson, you will play a crucial role in crafting, implementing, and maintaining data solutions that demonstrate a diverse set of technologies. With a focus on cloud-based environments and a strong emphasis on security, you will chip in to the development of robust data pipelines and systems.
What you will do
Operating Systems and Application Environments:
Apply a broad range of operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
Work with various application environments, with a strong focus on GCP Fundamentals, including SQL Cloud, Pubsub, Big Query, Bigbucket, and GCP bucket.
Implement Cloud Functions and integrate them seamlessly into the overall data architecture.
Work with PostgreSQL, Scala, web servers, Python, Java Scripts, Groovy, and Shell script.
Cloud Security:
Implement and enforce to standard methodology cloud security principles to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
Proactively address security vulnerabilities and stay abreast of emerging threats in the cloud environment.
Pipeline Implementation and Data Processing:
Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, aggregation, and processing.
Implement KPI formulas and chip in to the development of key performance indicators to measure data quality and system performance.
BigQuery Dataset/Table Structure Creation:
Define and build dataset and table structures in BigQuery to optimize data storage and retrieval.
Communication Skills:
Possess excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
Collaborate successfully with multi-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders.
International Travel:
Be open to occasional international travel, as required by project needs.
You will bring
Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
8-14 years of experience in data engineering with a focus on cloud-based environments.
Proven experience with GCP components, Cloud Functions, PostgreSQL, Scala, web servers, Python, Java Scripts, Groovy, and Shell script.
Strong understanding of cloud security principles and standard processes.
Demonstrated experience in crafting and implementing data pipelines and working with BigQuery.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
