About The Role As our Enterprise Data Engineer Lead, become a vital architect in the evolution and sustainability of GoTo\'s Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). Your role extends far beyond the ordinary - it\'s about orchestrating the data symphony that powers GoTo\'s decision-making and strategic excellence. This EDW is the heartbeat of our organization, consolidating data from all Enterprise Functions such as Finance (covering Accounting, Planning, Taxation), Procurement, Operations, and even the esteemed CXO Offices. What You Will Do Lead and manage a dynamic team of data engineers, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation Work hand-in-hand with data and analytics experts to enhance the functionality of our data systems Take full ownership of deliverables, including understanding business requirements, analyzing data patterns, designing optimal pipelines, automating data exports, implementing databases and analytics systems, and ensuring data governance and security compliance Design highly scalable data infrastructure and analytics architecture, positioning our organization for growth and innovation Harness your coding skills using SQL and Python programming to build the backbone of our data systems Implement a robust data quality framework with checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our data Play a vital role in supporting data requirements for financial operations, contributing to the success of our organization Collaborate closely with both Data and IT team members to enhance our data platform, creating a seamless and efficient data ecosystem Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements. This includes automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability. What You Will Need A minimum of 6 years of experience in a Data Engineer role, coupled with a graduate degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Statistics A genuine passion and expertise in big data stacks, encompassing tools like Spark, Hadoop, and Hive, as well as experience in message queuing systems like Kafka and NSQ. Proficiency in both relational and NoSQL databases, data pipeline tools like Airflow, and scripting languages including Python and Java A deep understanding of data concepts, including message queuing, stream processing, and big data data stores, alongside robust SQL skills for query authoring Proficiency in database structures, data warehousing, and data mining, along with experience in navigating cloud platforms (with a preference for GCP) and the UNIX environment Proven experience in designing, implementing, and overseeing data analytics solutions and the optimization of big data pipelines Familiarity with DevOps/DataOps practices and an added advantage is expertise in root cause analysis for data-related issues Strong analytical skills, the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, meticulous attention to detail, self-motivation, adaptability, and a strong sense of ownership Exposure working in finance and accounting processes is a plus About The Team The office of the CIO leads the company\'s information technology strategy and implementation. All internal and enterprise systems are maintained and implemented by the CIO\'s team; they look after a variety of systems, including (but, not limited to): finance, people services, productivity, operations, internal security login, authentication, account authorization, account audits, and email. This office also leads all IT asset procurement, budgeting, and implementing equipment policies. Under the office of the CIO, the IT Enterprise Systems team governs, manages, and aids GoTo\'s Enterprise applications and information globally. The Enterprise Data team, part of the IT Enterprise Systems Team (which this role will be situated within), is a new team being built. Based in Jakarta, Indonesia, this team will be the single source of truth for the GoTo Enterprise, catering to all corporate functions of GoTo and its operating units. This team will work alongside the IT Infrastructure and IT Information team. This is an exciting time to join our squad as we\'re prepared to expand rapidly in 2023 by tapping into newly-emerged offerings within the GoTo group ecosystem and beyond. Our roles range from carrying out project implementations to supporting users globally. We\'re part of the team that oversees all internal enterprise systems that are maintained and implemented by the CIO\'s team, and work together to govern, troubleshoot, and improve them.
