:About the Role:Grade Level (for internal use): 09The Team:The Digital Technology Services Business Intelligence team is responsible for providing DTS and the wider organization with data and insights through reporting on and around IT, Financials, and other corporate datasets.The Impact:What\'s in it for you:In your role, you will have the opportunity to work with exciting data with each set presenting new and interesting challenges. This role presents the opportunity to work on different parts of our process extraction scripts, data wrangling and engineering, and reporting.Responsibilities:In the day-to-day operations, you will be working with DTS BI Scrum team with the goal to develop cutting edge Data Products for consumption of DTS data by our internal customers which include users from across DTS and the S&P Global Enterprise at all levels from senior leadership to individual users. You will also drive Strategic Initiatives that enable us to deliver better products, faster and with world class support. With your acute investigation, troubleshooting and communication skills, you will be championing support best practices and improving our user\'s experience. Some of your areas of ownership will include:Data Engineering:\xc2\xb7 Data manipulations and transformations either applied in SQL or in Power BI (DAX/Power Query)\xc2\xb7 Maintain and update datasets in our Lakehouse/Warehouse\xc2\xb7 Maintain data quality in reporting and crafted data.\xc2\xb7 Document data manipulations and transformations for use in data dictionaryReporting and Report maintenance:\xc2\xb7 Work with the data produced at the data engineering layer and build useful visualization in Power BI\xc2\xb7 Work with and create Power BI dataflows.\xc2\xb7 Set up the report to refresh on an ongoing basis.\xc2\xb7 Work with stakeholders to refine reports.\xc2\xb7 Document the report and its inner workings so the team can assist in maintenance and improvements.Collaboration, Communication and Creative:\xc2\xb7 Work closely with the team, product owner, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions.\xc2\xb7 Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate expert information to non-experts\xc2\xb7 Creativity in coming up with solutions around data and end user experience.Innovation and Continuous Improvement:\xc2\xb7 Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data tools and engineering.\xc2\xb7 Participate in the development of best practices and guidelines for data management and engineering.What We\'re Looking For:Basic Qualifications:\xc2\xb7 3+ years professional experience as a Power BI report developer, analyst or data engineer or similar role\xc2\xb7 B.S. / M.S. in Computer Sciences or related field .\xc2\xb7 Strong analytical capabilities being able to read and understand data and visualization to draw insights.\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in Power BI.\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in DAX and Power Query.\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of and around SQL.\xc2\xb7 Programing skills in coding languages specifically for data such as Python.\xc2\xb7 Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of data lake warehousing concepts and tools (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, Dremio, MS Fabric).\xc2\xb7 Open to working flexible hours as per business needs.Preferred Qualifications:\xc2\xb7 Some type of certifications in data architecture, engineering, or analytics (e.g., AWS Certified Big Data, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, Microsoft Data Engineer).\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in Python.\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in SQL.\xc2\xb7 Understanding of End-to-End Data to Insight lifecycle.\xc2\xb7 Experience with data governance and data security practices.\xc2\xb7 Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts.\xc2\xb7 Experience with cloud computing platforms, including Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.\xc2\xb7 Experience in Tableau.What\'s In It For You?Our Purpose:Progress is not a self-starter.
