You will be working on the latest data platform technologies, and a part of a high-performing team fully committed to employee growth and development. You will be creating microservices, integrating components, designing frameworks and building reusable data solutions for GSK\'s Enterprise Data & Analytics Platform. You will enable faster acquisition, ingestion, and curation of analytical-ready datasets. You will be introducing new technology and building the GxP-ready platform aimed at delivering value to business stakeholders. This is very hands-on development role which includes developing & delivering code through from origin to production, plus working in partnership with 3rd party development service providers to help ensure that code comes in on time, to quality and in line with the overall ecosystem being established. The Data Engineer will directly contribute to the extensive and varied build and deployment activities involved in establishing the new platform then continue to work on the already significant and growing pipeline of future buildouts of platform services on the Enterprise Data & Analytics Platform. This role will include responsibilities for: 5-9 years of recent experience in data engineering Bachelor\'s Degree or more in Computer Science or a related field. Experience in Azure Cloud environments, Azure Data lake, Data factory , Microservices , REST Api , App service , SQL Datawarehouse Programming experience, ideally in Python, Spark, Databricks, Pyspark ,SQL Good understanding Azure Dev-ops , CI /CD pipelines Basic to intermediate understanding on Azure ML Ops framework Knowledge of data cleaning, wrangling, visualization and reporting, with an understanding of the best, most efficient use of associated tools and applications to complete these tasks. Manage your work stream(s) and raise issues in a timely and effective manner and ensure resolution Ability to constructively challenge requirements and current state to increase overall value to the firm Strong relationship building skills and executive presence Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change Ability to effectively work across the various Markets/Brands to gather requirements and gain consensus Works independently under minimal guidance with regular alignment with management teams Excellent written and verbal communication An end-user, customer-first mindset open to changing requirements and complex solutions Problem solving and multi-tasking ability in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment Strong communication skills, including the ability to work with business partners in many geo-locations to turn requirements into an actionable data engineering backlog Awareness and understanding of cloud-based product development Why GSK Our values and expectations are at the heart of everything we do and form an important part of our culture.
