Lillyu2019s Purpose u202Fu00A0 u00A0 u00A0 u00A0 Come help us transform Lillyu2019s Quality Management System! u00A0 Lilly has initiated a multi-year QMS transformation program that will enable 1) simplified, standardized, and optimized QMS processes, 2) innovation and agility for unprecedented growth with new sites, modalities, and partnerships, and 3) modernization of solution infrastructure by moving to cloud-based solutions and advanced technology .u00A0 The MQ Tech@Lilly Global Quality team is actively looking for a Data Architect to join the NextGen QMS Program .u00A0u00A0 u00A0 What Youu2019ll Be Doing: u00A0 You will be responsible for defining, designing, building , and maintaining the data architecture vision, strategy, and principles for the NextGen QMS Program .u00A0 You will define standards for naming, describing, governing, managing, modeling, transforming, and searching data from Li llyu2019s NG QMS solution .u00A0 You will be a key contributor to the Integration and Data Workstream of the NextGen QMS Program with a focus on QMS data publication strategy . u202Fu202F u00A0 How Youu2019ll Succeed: u00A0 Partner with Lilly architects, software vendor, and third party implementation partner to develop and execute on a technical strategy for NG QMS data structure and data products . u00A0 W ork with business to identify future uses for Lilly data and anticipated business results and enable processes to support these needs.u202F u00A0 Develop and provide expertise in enterprise data domains this includes data relationships, data quality, understanding of business data needs and the associated technology toolsets and methodologies.u202F u00A0 Develop understanding how the enterprise data strategies, platforms, and technologies enable business execution. Use this knowledge to appropriately challenge status quo and drive business and Tech@Lilly collaboration s .u202Fu202F u00A0 Continuously scan the technology environment for new trends and techniques interface with external consultants and thought leaders as needed.u202F u00A0 Synthesize new scalable approaches for Lilly data integration derive the supporting arguments, communicate , and articulate the reasons for the new approaches to fellow engineers as well as senior management.u202F u00A0 P ossess a deep working knowledge of how data is or will be used and implications on people, processes, capabilities, and technologies including analytics and data integrations.u202F u00A0 W ork closely with data producers, information management, data engineers, AI/ML engineers and data consumers. u00A0 Should be able to provide direction to the data engineers from implementation standpoint, should guide the team, able to see the holisitic picture, understand the upstream and downstream systems, analyse impacts when there are new changes made to the architecture and provide the right solution. What You Should Bring: u00A0 Demonstrated c ommunication, leadership, teamwork , project delivery, and problem solving skills u00A0 Experienced in a rchitectural processes ( e.g. blueprinting, reference architecture, governance, etc.)u00A0 u00A0 Experienced in driving atleast 1-2 large scale implementations from data architecture standpoint. Understanding of external data standards ( e.g. HL7, CDISC, SDTM) and external data vocabularies ( e.g. MedDRA, RxNorm , SNOMED)u00A0 u00A0 S kills in data modeling, data warehousing, data integration, data governance and an understanding of data security, data standards, and cloud architecture principles. u00A0 Demonstrated ability to influence IT and businessu202Fstrategies to drive large-scale outcomes. u00A0 Validated skills of strong learning agility and relationship building to influence change using knowledge and relationships. u00A0 Successful record of high quality, user focused, on-time & budget IT service and project delivery. u00A0 Experience with formal project management methodologies, agile frameworks (including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe , etc. ) and working knowledge of associated practices and tools. u00A0 Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills, working across agile and diverse teams. u00A0 u00A0 A high level of intellectual curiosity, external perspective, and innovation interest . u00A0 E xperience designing large scale data models for functional, operational, and analytical environments (Conceptual, Logical, Physical & Dimensional)u202Fincluding the creation of data dictionary. Experience with data modelling tools like Erwin Data Modeler, ER/ Studio, Lucidchart etc. u00A0 E xperience in several of the following disciplines: statistical methods, data modeling, data administration, ontology development, semantic graph construction and linked data, relational schema design.u202F u00A0 Demonstrated SQL /PLSQL and data modeling proficiency .u202Fu202F u00A0 Experience in AWS , Azure techstack and other cloud technologies .u202F u00A0 Experience with security models and development on large data sets . u00A0 Experience working with a variety of relational and non-relational databases. u00A0 Experience with multiple database solutions ( e.g. Postgres, Redshift, Aurora, Athena) and formal database designs (3NF, Dimensional Models)u202F u00A0 Experience with Agile Development, CI/CD, Jenkins, Github , Automation platformsu202Fu202F u00A0 Demonstrated ability to analyze large, complex data domains and craft practical solutions for subsequent data exploitation via analytics.u202Fu202F u00A0 Demonstrated ability to communicate with a geographically dispersed group of business and technical colleaguesu202F u00A0 Ability to review and provide practical recommendations on design patterns, performance considerations & optimization, database versions, and database deployment strategiesu202Fu202F u00A0 Knowledgeable in data functions such as Data Governance, Master Data Management, Business Intelligenceu202F u00A0 Experience in moving on premises solutions into cloud and knowledge in multiple data ingestionu202Fpatterns . u00A0 Basic Qualifications: u00A0 Bacheloru2019s Degree in computer science or related scientific discipline.u202F u00A0 10 plus years of relevant work experience. u00A0 Experience working in regulated environments and with internal systems quality policies and procedures . u00A0 Additional Preferencesu202F u00A0 Knowledge of GxP , Pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and automations systems u202Fu202F u00A0 About the Organization: u00A0 Lilly IT builds and maintains capabilities using cutting edge technologies like most prominent tech companies.
