Data Analyst - Workday HRIS Implementation
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Transformation Specialist to join our team and play a critical role in the successful implementation of our Workday Human Resources Information System (HRIS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire data conversion process, from requirement gathering to execution and validation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Data Requirements Gathering: Collect requirements for data extraction, transformation, and loading from legacy HR systems to Workday-formatted values.
• ETL Process Development: Create automated data ETL templates using Excel, SQL, and other programming languages to populate SI-provided data conversion workbooks.
• Data Validation and Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot data validation and/or conversion issues in partnership with HR functional leads and SI partners.
• Data Staging for Testing: Provide data staging required for test scenarios, including payroll parallel testing and training.
• Data Integrity Checks: Execute data validation through designing, creating, and maintaining automated test scripts for data integrity checks.
• Data Audits and Cleansing: Facilitate data audits and cleansing initiatives.
• Catch-Up Transactions: Assist in identifying, processing, and validating catch-up transactions to ensure data consistency and accuracy during catch-up processes.
• Data Lineage Documentation: Document data transformation processes and clear lineage information, including the maintenance of data dictionaries.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, ETL processes, and data migration.
• Demonstrated experience in data transformation and integration projects.
• 2 years of experience working with HRIS and/or Payroll systems, Workday preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Java).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Workday HRIS implementation.
• Experience with data warehousing or data lake concepts.
• Knowledge of HR data structures and processes.
