Job Summary:

The Data Analyst in the paint industry is responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to help improve product quality, optimize manufacturing processes, and drive business growth. This role involves transforming raw data into meaningful insights through statistical analysis, data visualization, and reporting. The Data Analyst collaborates with various departments, including R&D, manufacturing, sales, and marketing, to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Collection and Processing :
• Collect, clean, and organize data from various internal sources (e.g., production, quality control, sales) and external sources (e.g., market trends, competitor analysis).
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy by identifying and correcting data quality issues.
• Utilize data extraction tools and techniques to gather data from multiple databases and systems.
• Data Analysis :
• Perform detailed data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to product performance, manufacturing efficiency, and market dynamics.
• Use statistical methods and software tools to conduct analyses and interpret results.
• Develop predictive models to forecast production needs, sales trends, and market demand.
• Data Visualization and Reporting :
• Create clear and concise data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.
• Present findings and insights to stakeholders through visualizations and reports.
• Communicate complex data findings in a way that is understandable to non-technical stakeholders, including recommendations for action.
• Collaboration and Consultation :
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
• Collaborate with R&D to analyze product formulations and quality data to drive product innovation and improvement.
• Provide recommendations based on data analysis to support business decisions and strategies in manufacturing, sales, and marketing.
• Data Management and Governance :
• Maintain data documentation and metadata for reference and compliance purposes.
• Adhere to data privacy and security protocols to protect sensitive information.
• Support the development and implementation of data governance policies and best practices.
• Continuous Improvement :
• Stay updated on the latest data analysis techniques, tools, and industry trends.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance data analysis skills.
• Identify opportunities to improve data processes and analytics capabilities within the paint industry context.

Qualifications:

• Education :
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) is a plus.
• Experience :
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing or chemical industry.
• Experience with data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, R, Python, SAS).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Skills :
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and data modeling.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Technical Proficiency :
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of database management systems and query languages (e.g., SQL).
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
• Familiarity with paint industry-specific software and data systems (e.g., ERP, LIMS) is beneficial.

Work Environment:

• The Data Analyst typically works in an office environment but may also spend time in production areas or labs to understand processes and gather data. The position requires a significant amount of computer-based work, including long periods of sitting.

Pay: ?12,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
