Enterprise Analytics is an internal consulting team that provides data-driven expertise to various business and support functions. Sitting comfortably in this department is the Marketing Operations and Analytics (MOCA) team. MOCA is looking for an experienced Senior Marketing Analyst who combines data-driven story-telling, marketing process analysis, and practical perfectionism.Are you able to walk the balance between perfecting details while focusing on the big picture?   • Develop, execute and monitor complex insights and analytical solutions to marketing problems using a variety of analytical approaches and methodologies.
  • Prepare and present findings and analysis to stakeholders and ensure alignment with objectives and goals - drive faster, smarter data driven decisions.
  • Drive understanding for marketing performance at the campaign, program, and tactical level, while also creating the data narrative to broadcast marketings value to a larger audience.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize the performance and efficiency of existing processes/procedures.
  • Develop new ways of thinking and help create industry leading best practices, while proactively identify new analytics techniques from other industries and adapting them to our business.
  • Monitor data / information management processes to ensure data quality and consistency in support of business initiatives. This includes acquiring new data sources and performing data discovery to understand data values and relationships.
  • Mentor less experienced analysts on standards and techniques to improve their accuracy and efficiency. Support the team in creating a safe zone for critique and improvement.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of work experience in marketing analytics, marketing operations or operations analytics
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Econometrics or Data Science and Information Management or real-word experience equivalent. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of non-analytics marketing experience a plus
  • Extensive experience in descriptive, prescriptive and predictive analytics.
  • 2-5 years of strong programming experience with SQL, Python, R or other data mining and analysis tools.
  • Ability to quickly understand, process and consume industrial scale databases using one of these tools.
  • Experience in handling source systems and the ability to adapt your knowledge to new tools and systems. Understanding of our current stack (Microsoft Azure, Databricks) is a plus.
  • 2-5 years of experience developing insights and dashboards using a BI tool such as Cognos, Power BI or Tableau.
  • Advanced skills using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing to work with multiple cross- functional teams.
  • Experience with data architecture, data integration/ETL and/or data warehousing deployed in a complex environment is a plus.
  • Experience with geospatial analysis tools, such as ArcGIS or MapIT, is a plus.
  • Experience with other analytics tools such as ACL, Arbutus, Qlikview, Alteryx, and Angoss is a plus.
