Dance Teacher
Job Description
• Develop and implement comprehensive dance lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Teach a variety of dance styles, including ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and other genres.
• Provide instruction on dance techniques, movement, rhythm, and expression.
• Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
• Prepare students for performances, recitals, and dance competitions.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and development.
• Participate in school events, performances, and extracurricular activities.
• Stay current with trends and developments in dance education and continuously seek professional development opportunities.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the school community.
