Job Summary:The CYRC Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality educational programs in the CYRC (Child and Youth Resource Centre). This includes overseeing the Library Program, FLN (Foundational Literacy and Numeracy) Program, STEM Education Program, and supporting community engagement efforts. The role also involves maintaining resources, ensuring cleanliness, monitoring student progress, and building relationships with parents, local stakeholders, and community members to foster an active and thriving education hub.RequirementsKey Responsibilities:Program Implementation:Run the Library Program, FLN program for 45 dedicated children, and the STEM Education Program.Create daily lesson plans and get them reviewed.Facilitate engaging learning experiences, including hands-on STEM activities and literacy development.Conduct assessments and provide feedback on student progress.Take in-person, online, and offline training sessions on a weekly or need-based basis.Community Engagement & Mobilization:Organize surveys and events to establish the CYRC as an educational hub in the community.Visit children's homes to ensure active engagement from parents.Engage and mobilize the community by fostering relationships with local stakeholders and parents.Partner with local schools, stakeholders, and parents to enhance program participation and collaboration.Administrative & Coordination Responsibilities:Perform administrative duties related to the CYRC, including maintaining student records, stock registers, and managing procurement of basic utilities for the center.Maintain accurate and up-to-date data on every child enrolled in the CYRC.Track the attendance of children and ensure regularity in school attendance through monthly school visits.Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of CYRC resources and environment.Report writing and communication of program updates and outcomes.Resource Management:Oversee all resources within the CYRC and ensure that they are effectively utilized and well-maintained.Manage the procurement process for necessary resources and utilities.Team & Stakeholder Management:Establish and actively engage the CYRC Management Committee.Build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities, community members, and parents.Action Research & Continuous Improvement:Plan and implement action research projects within the community, ensuring active community participation.Reflect on program effectiveness and make recommendations for continuous improvement.Other Responsibilities: Perform any additional work as assigned by the Program Manager, including supporting other initiatives and events within the CYRC.Core Competencies & Values:Commitment to Children and Youth: Passionate about creating a positive impact on children's education and well-being.Open to Learn & Adaptability: Continuously open to learning new teaching methods and adapting to changes.Open to Travel & Manage Delhi Office: Willingness to travel extensively and manage the operations of the Delhi office.Empathetic & Integrity: Approaches challenges with empathy and ensures transparency in all actions.Creativity & Critical Thinking: Utilizes creativity to make learning engaging and employs critical thinking in solving problems.Excellence & Reflective: Strives for excellence in all tasks and reflects on performance for continuous improvement.Values Diversity & Embraces Nuances: Recognizes and respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of students and communities.Skills:Teaching: Strong skills in planning, execution, assessment, and reflection in the teaching process.Communication: Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Community Mobilization & Engagement: Ability to mobilize community members and engage them in educational programs.Data-driven & Stakeholder Management: Comfortable using data to inform decisions and effectively manage relationships with stakeholders.Digital Skills: Proficient in Google Drive and other digital tools for managing teaching resources and communication.Facilitation: Ability to facilitate group discussions, workshops, and learning sessions effectively.Knowledge:Context Knowledge: Understanding of the local educational and social context, especially in underserved areas.Migrants Context: Knowledge of the challenges faced by migrant children and their educational needs.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, or related field.Prior experience in teaching or working with children and youth in community settings.Strong understanding of child development, community engagement, and education programs.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in Hindi and/or English; knowledge of local dialects is a plus.What Success Looks LikeDeliver high-quality educational programs (Library, FLN, STEM) for children at the CYRC.Engage the community, including parents, stakeholders, and local schools, to ensure active participation.Manage resources, track student progress, and maintain a conducive learning environment.Build strong relationships with parents, local schools, and community leaders to foster a thriving education hub.To ApplyApplications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
