Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.Join us as a Cybersecurity Principal Software Engineer - IT on our Data Analytics Platforms team in Bangalore to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.What youll achieveThe Data Analytics Platforms team, part of Dell Digitals Enterprise Data Solutions organization, is responsible for maintaining multiple Big Data Platforms and data lake environments in Production and Non-Production. The team is also responsible for Engineering and platform activities, including automation and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning.The Cybersecurity Principal Software Engineer - IT will participate in and contribute to initiatives that improve overall security posture and help ensure compliance with all regulatory, audit and security requirements for data platforms.You will:

• Review and analyse security, audit and regulatory requirements and create documentation and reports for security related metrics
• Contribute to the security architecture and design of data platforms and databases to meet all compliance requirements
• Work with Platform Engineers in ensuring that data platforms are meeting all the compliance requirements and review security vulnerabilities, identify and track vulnerability fixes for data platforms
• Partner with cybersecurity team to conduct penetration testing, audits and security scans
• Collaborate with developer team to ensure secure development practices & ability to identify and evaluate the scan results and provide remediations

• Experience with cybersecurity concepts and how security controls are applied across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Specialized knowledge in security standards development, meticulously crafting security standards and protocols to fortify infrastructures. Comprehensive knowledge in threat modelling approaches like STRIDE and PASTA.
• Experience and familiarity with network data, logs, and various types of attack artifacts. Deep knowledge in security vulnerabilities & exploitation techniques.
• Hands on experience with DAST and SAST tools such as Snyk, X-ray scan, checkmarx, SonarQube etc.
• Hands on Experience on cyber frameworks as NIST, ISO27001, ISO27002 etc. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Requirements

• Typically requires 8+ years of software engineering experience. Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in system security engineering, network security, or a related field.
• Basic experience with risk assessment, penetration testing, and incident response methodologies. Experience in Data platform, Information security or related field is a big plus.
