Note: We\'re seeking a Java Developer who is interested in pursuing a career in cybersecurity. The ideal professional should have previous Java experience and a strong desire to learn about Identity and Access Management (IAM) within Cybersecurity. No prior experience in these areas is required, but a willingness to learn is essential.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Designing, creating, and implementing Java-based applications
• 
  Interpreting briefs to create high-quality coding that functions according to specifications
• 
  Determining application functions and building objectives with the team
• 
  Ensuring that written code falls in line with the project objectives
• 
  Problem solving with other team members in the project
• 
  Identifying and resolving immediate and potential issues with applications
• 
  Drafting detailed reports on the work performed and projects completed
• 
  Participating in group meetings to discuss projects and objectives
• 
  Assisting other developers with troubleshooting, debugging, and coding
• 
  Meeting deadlines on fast-paced deliverables

Requirements

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science or related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Java Development
• 
  Excellent written and verbal communication
• 
  Experience as a Sun Certified Java Developer

• 
  In-depth knowledge of website design and programming

• 
  In-depth knowledge and understanding of Java and Java EE

• 
  Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills

• 
  Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• 
  Knowledge of hardware and operating systems (Unix-based systems a plus)

• 
  Understanding of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)
• 
  Understanding of LDAP like ActivE Directory or Open LDAP

• 
  Agile experience with application servers and web application servers
• 
  Knowledge and certifications in security and networking is an added advantage
• 
  Significant coding skills in Java, with other languages being a major plus
• 
  A strong portfolio of top-class coding and builds to your name
