The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing security tooling, integrating security tools via APIs, and developing automation scripts. This role is critical to enhancing our security posture by creating, integrating, and automating security tools and processes.Key Responsibilities:Security Tool Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain custom security tools to support various security operations.
• Collaborate with security analysts and engineers to identify tooling needs and deliver effective solutions.
• Ensure tools are secure, efficient, and scalable.

API Integration:

• Develop and maintain APIs for seamless integration between different security tools and platforms.
• Ensure integrations are secure, reliable, and well-documented.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to maintain optimal tool performance.

Automation Scripting:

• Develop scripts to automate repetitive security tasks and processes.
• Implement automation for tasks such as log analysis, incident response, and compliance checks.
• Ensure automation scripts are efficient, secure, and maintainable.

Security Practices and Compliance:

• Conduct regular security assessments and audits of tools and integrations.
• Ensure all developments comply with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
• Stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies to continuously improve tooling and automation.

Collaboration and Support:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver security solutions.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for security tools and integrations.
• Participate in incident response and forensic investigations as needed.

Qualifications:Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in information security development, tooling, and automation.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with security tools and platforms (e.g., Firewall, SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR).
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, SOAP, and other web services.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud) and their security features.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) and automation frameworks.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:Certifications:

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) or other relevant security certifications
