Job Description

A Customs Executive in freight forwarding plays a crucial role in ensuring the legality and timeliness of shipments across international borders. They are responsible for navigating complex customs regulations, maintaining compliance, and providing essential support to ensure the efficient movement of goods.

• Ensure Customs Documentation Handling
• Customs Clearance Process : Coordinate with customs brokers and agents to facilitate the clearance of goods through customs checkpoints.
• Track and monitor clearance status to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Compliance and Regulations: Stay updated with changes in customs regulations and tariffs both domestically and internationally.
• Advise clients and internal stakeholders on customs compliance issues and potential impacts on shipments.
• Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and guidelines throughout the clearance process.
• Communicate effectively with external parties including customs officials, government agencies, and clients to resolve issues and expedite clearance.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, International Business, or a related field (preferred).
• Previous experience of (3-5 years) in customs clearance or freight forwarding industry.
• Strong understanding of customs regulations, tariffs, and import/export procedures.
• Experience in EDI filling, Clearance of EXIM Shipments.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications for documentation and tracking.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month
