As a CT Scan Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT (computed tomography) scans , ensuring patient comfort and safety while operating CT imaging equipment. As a CT Scan Technologist, you will collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic images for patient assessment and treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities :
• Perform CT scans on patients to produce clear, detailed diagnostic images.
• Position patients appropriately for various types of CT exams, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Communicate the CT procedure to patients and answer any questions they may have.
• Ensure that the CT scan equipment is functioning properly and perform routine maintenance checks.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols , minimizing patient exposure while ensuring image quality.
• Record and maintain patient information and imaging results accurately in the EMR system .
• Assist physicians and radiologists in evaluating images and providing diagnostic support.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the CT room and imaging equipment.
• Educate patients on pre-procedure and post-procedure care as needed.
• Follow hospital and departmental protocols to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Requirements :
• Education : Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program with specialized training in CT scanning .
• Certification
• Experience : Previous experience as a CT Scan Technologist is preferred but not required.
Skills :
• Strong knowledge of CT scanning techniques and patient safety protocols.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot CT scanning equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficient in using EMR systems and imaging software.
Preferred Qualifications :
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Experience with specialized CT procedures (e.g., contrast-enhanced imaging, vascular studies).
• Knowledge of hospital EMR systems and digital imaging software.
