Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a time bound research project sponsored by the CSIR (Grant No F. No. 22WS(0007)/2023-24/EMR-II/ASPIRE ) for a temporary period purely on contractual basis as per the following details:

Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Project Title: Catalytic Reforming of Simulated Bio Oil for Hydrogen Production

Funding Agency: Council of Industrial and Scientific Research (CSIR)

Investigators: Prof. Banasri Roy, Department of Chemical Engineering, BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus

Project Tenure: 2 Years + 1 Year SRF thereafter after evaluation

: The JRF is expected to carry independent literature study, Catalytic activity study using custom reactor set up, characterizations (XRD, XPS, SEM, TEM, FTIR, DTA-TGA, RAMAN, etc) of the catalysts and data analysis. He/She will compare these results with the existing relevant literature and apply scientific/engineering knowledge to analyze those and write paper/patent.

Qualification: Minimum Qualification: BS 4 years programme/ MSc/BE/BTech or equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering/Material Science/ Nano Technology/chemistry/polymer Sc & Engg or relevant areas, with 55% marks and passing of NET/GATE test.

Desirable Qualifications: M.E./M.Tech. (with at least 60% marks) in Chemical Engineering/Material Science/ Nano Technology or relevant areas.

Upper Age Limit: Age not exceeding 28 years. The upper age limit is relax-able up-to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes/tribes/OBC, women and physically handicapped candidates.

Fellowship: 37,000/- (initially first two years) per month for GATE/NET-qualified candidates. 42,000/- Per month for third year as SRF

Registration for Ph.D.: Selected candidates may be permitted to register for the PhD program of BITS Pilani subject to fulfilling the requirements of the PhD qualification process as per the institute norms.
