Scope of Role


aEURWork Location - Onsite / Offshore


aEURReporting to - Program Manager


Baseline Responsibilities


aEURPlans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of Structural Engineering


aEURMentor Civil Engineers and facilitate a holistic understanding as to the scope and plan for projects


aEURCommunicates technical issues and recommends solutions to Supervisor and/or project management.


aEURFacilitates technical discussions with third parties (client, suppliers, regulators)


aEURConducts reviews of vendor drawings, calculations and other documentation.


aEURWorks on conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals.


aEURPrepares cost estimates, quantity take-offs and staffing requirements for proposals, forecasts and change orders.


aEURCoordinates and interfaces as directed with the day-to-day technical work of discipline engineers, specialists and designers.


Qualifications / Skill


aEURBS / Masters degree in Civil engineering with minimum 5 (five) years of Structural Experience


aEUR Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.


aEURLayout and details portions of projects using schematic layout by project lead engineer. May be assigned responsibility for schematic or conceptual layouts when qualified.


aEURProvide drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings by Designers/Drafters.


aEURResearch design options and document findings for project lead engineer,Review shop drawings.


aEURAssume the lead engineeraEUR(TM)s role on assigned projects


aEURDevelop probable construction cost estimates for his/her projects within the department.


aEURMay direct and supervise other Designers/Drafters activities.


aEURCoordinate work with other disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, electrical, etc.


aEURPerform field activities such as observe and record existing field conditions, take and verify measurements within project area.


aEUROrganize, draft, and coordinate technical documents


aEURExtensive knowledge and exposure to relevant International codes and specifications like ASCE, AISC, ACI is desirable


aEURExpertise in STAAD-Pro, MS-Office, Mathcad and related structural engineering software
