Key Responsibilities
• Financial Analysis : Review and analyze applicants' financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documents to assess risk.
• Credit Evaluation : Assist in evaluating the creditworthiness of loan applications and make recommendations based on analysis.
• Documentation : Prepare detailed credit memos and reports, documenting the rationale behind approval or denial decisions.
• Compliance : Ensure all underwriting activities comply with company policies, banking regulations, and risk management guidelines.
• Collaboration : Work with sales, risk management, and other departments to gather necessary information for underwriting.
• Data Management : Maintain accurate records of all credit assessments and decisions in the company's system.
• Learning & Development : Participate in training programs to build understanding of credit underwriting, financial regulations, and risk assessment.
Qualifications
• Education : Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Analytical Skills : Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
• Attention to Detail : High attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and processing information.
• Communication : Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Technology Proficiency : Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and an aptitude for learning financial software.
• Problem-Solving : Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks with a proactive approach.
