If you can bring an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to learn and collaborate to your work, this could be the boost your career deserves.About the Team:Aviation Finance is a specialist lending desk within Investec Specialist Sectors which operates as a global team providing innovative funding solutions to the Aviation Industry with relationships with Airlines, Lessors as well as manufacturers, raising debt and equity finance from partnerships with global financial institutions in the fund space as well as providing balance sheet lending.Key Role & Responsibilities:Data extraction, manipulation and attention to detail is the natural starting point and forms the basis of the reporting for the desk both externally and internally and the workload develops from there in line with business needs and the candidate's own drive and abilities.

• Providing regular reporting on the Global Aviation Market and the Investec Portfolio in particular highlighting areas of concern
• Researching the client and obtaining the necessary information in support of the Execution and origination teams
• Developing market knowledge of the specific aviation assets
• Developing knowledge and understanding of the aviation book through interaction with Financial Control
• Assisting forecasting process with Financial Control
• Owning and responsible for Desk MI on Powerbi
• Working closely with the Aviation Team to provide reporting as needed for the trading of the Balance Sheet exposures as needed to manage credit
• Providing reporting on Equity and Debt Fund Assets as needed

Core Skills and Knowledge:

• Excellent command of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and other relevant tools / databases
• Fluent in English and excellent oral and written communications skills
• Willingness to obtain foundation knowledge of Aviation asset market.
• Ability to think critically, engage in analysis and make decisions.
• Ability to research, implement and deliver projects in a time-efficient manner.
• Willingness to learn; able to pick up new skills and technologies quickly.
• Market Knowledge: sound awareness of the market/economic landscape and knowledge of how the business functions.
• Regulatory knowledge as applicable for the role
• To act with integrity at all times and embrace the philosophy of treating our customers fairly.
