Job description:
To maximize receivables turnover and cash flow while minimizing bad debt and maintaining good customer relations. Key Responsibilities • Responsible for credit and collection tasks for an assigned portfolio of Indian customers
• Reduce the Account Receivable in India with the special objective to reduce the past due invoices to a maximum of 6% at year end.
• Align commercial practices to improve collection
• Enforce terms of sale by closely follow up on deposits, pre-shipment payments and past due invoices and taking immediate, appropriate actions required to obtain payment
• Credit approval of orders
• Credit release shipments in ERP systems
• Prepare periodic statements of account for customers
• Provide periodic reports to the Credit Manager located in Europe (Luxembourg)
• Provide data required for prompt, accurate posting of cash receipts
• Obtain and analyze credit reports, trade and bank references, financial statements to establish appropriate terms and limits on a timely basis. Monitor account performance against terms and limits and analyze.
• Respond to customer inquiries, requests for trade references, assist in period-end close and reconciliation process.
• Provide timely, accurate and complete data required for preparation of monthly and quarterly reports
• Communicate any kind of issues to sales and manufacturing

Technical/ Professional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Report writing skills Qualification : Education : University Degree in Business, Finance or related field. Related Experience : 1 year of commercial credit experience (preferred), credit experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset Specific knowledge, skills and abilities required:

• Basic Accounting principles knowledge, competence with ERP systems, PC-based word-processing and Excel spreadsheet software. Superior oral and written communication skills in English.
• Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization abilities.
• Persistent, persuasive, and enthusiastic personality (self-confident and assertive).
Good internet navigation skills.
