The Youth, Music and English Entertainment cluster of Viacom18 is laser-focused on entertaining urban Indian youth across multiple platforms. MTV is an iconic brand which has extended beyond television to JioCinema OTT, consumer products and its sub-brands like Roadies are running successful gym, pub and caf\xc3\xa9 franchises too. MTV Beats is the popular choice for Bollywood and Pop music for television audiences across urban Hindi markets. Vh1, Comedy Central and Colors Infinity round up the international content offering bouquet \xe2\x80\x93 from music to multi-genre entertainment \xe2\x80\x93 for the upscale urban youth. While the YME cluster has a very active and engaged user base on OTT and Social Media platforms, the business has already pivoted towards being future-ready, with digital-first brands like Fully Faltoo and KaanPhod Music. In a nutshell, the YME Cluster is a lean, agile, modular and consumer-focused team creating platform-agnostic content for the Indian youth.

What will you do?

  • Pre-Production:
  • Content Development: Generate innovative non-fiction show concepts suitable for broadcast audiences in the youth genre. Ensure concepts are unique, engaging, and aligned with target demographic preferences
  • Content Planning: Develop detailed plans for each episode, including storyline, structure, and format. Coordinate with writers, researchers, and other team members to flesh out content ideas
  • Logistics and casting: Organize logistics for shoots, including location scouting, equipment rental, and scheduling. Oversee casting efforts to select suitable hosts, guests, and contributors for the show


  • Production:
  • Show Execution: Lead the planning and execution of episodes, including coordinating shoots, directing talent, and managing post-production editing. Ensure smooth operation and timely delivery of all show-related tasks and milestones
  • Creative Direction: Provide creative guidance to the production team to maintain the vision and tone of the show. Make decisions on set design, wardrobe, and other visual elements to enhance the show\'s appeal.
  • Problem-Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise during production, such as scheduling conflicts or technical difficulties. Implement solutions to keep the production on track and maintain quality standards


  • Post Production:
  • Editing and Post production: Oversee the editing process to ensure that episodes are cohesive, engaging, and meet broadcast standards. Work closely with editors to refine the final cut, incorporating feedback and making necessary adjustments
  • Audience Engagement: Develop promotional strategies to generate buzz and excitement around the show. Utilize social media, press releases, and other marketing channels to attract and retain viewers
  • Evaluation and analysis: Monitor audience feedback and ratings to evaluate the show\'s performance. Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in future episodes

Who should apply for this role?

  • Candidates with 14-16 years of in content developments, focused on non-fiction
  • Individuals with Bachelors of Mass Communication/Media/Journalism
  • Candidates with at least 3+ years of experience working with an OTT brand will be preferred
