Job Summary

The Patient Counsellor / IVF Counsellor / Couple Coordinator is responsible for providing guidance, support, and information to patients undergoing fertility treatments , including IVF ( In-Vitro Fertilization ). The role involves offering emotional support, coordinating appointments, and ensuring that patients understand the treatment process. This person acts as a liaison between patients and the clinic's medical team, ensuring smooth communication and high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Counselling:
• Provide emotional support and counseling to patients undergoing fertility treatments.
• Explain IVF procedures, timelines, and protocols in a way that is easy for patients to understand.
• Discuss treatment options, risks, and potential outcomes in a compassionate and professional manner.
• Assist patients in coping with the emotional challenges related to infertility and treatment outcomes.
• Patient Education:
• Educate patients about IVF, IUI, egg freezing, and other fertility treatments.
• Clarify any questions patients have regarding medications, appointments, and treatment procedures.
• Help patients understand the financial aspects of fertility treatments, including costs, insurance, and payment plans.
• Coordination of Patient Care:
• Schedule patient consultations, tests, procedures, and follow-up visits.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and lab technicians to ensure smooth workflow and timely patient care.
• Follow up with patients to ensure they are adhering to treatment plans, medication schedules, and appointments.
• Documentation & Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Ensure that all patient data, lab results, and consultation notes are updated in the system.
• Prepare consent forms, treatment agreements, and patient reports.
• Communication:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, providing them with regular updates and answering any queries.
• Coordinate between the patient and different departments such as finance, pharmacy, and lab services.
• Communicate treatment plans clearly and address any concerns that patients may have.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in hospital management, Social Work, Nursing, or a related field. (Master's degree is preferred for counseling roles.)
• Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive patient situations with care and professionalism.
• Knowledge of fertility treatments, reproductive health, and associated medical terminologies.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment

• Clinic or hospital setting.
• Full-time position, may require working on weekends or holidays depending on the clinic's schedule.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?12,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
