About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Market Risk Specialist for its Wholesale Counterparty Credit Risk (WCCR) team to primarily work on Desk Limit Program ( DLP). The program is conducted for the Asset Backed Financing (primarily short-dated trading of cash products) and Secondary Loan Trading product lines.
In this role, you will: • Participate in developing, maintaining and providing oversight of market, interest rate and counterparty risk activities across the enterprise
• Identify opportunity to ensure risk remains within established risk appetite in Market Risk
• Perform or evaluate basic risk models such as trading, market, interest rate, delivery and counterparty credit risk exposures
• Ensure that risks within the business are properly identified and consistent with the Risk Management Framework
• Present recommendations for resolving risk issues, limits or capital use and provide reporting while also assessing theory and mathematics behind various models
+ Exercise independent judgment while developing expertise to perform activities for evaluating and approving risk models
• Collaborate and consult with management and board of directors to provide periodic or scheduled risk reports that present a
companywide view of risk management
Required Qualifications: • 2+ years of market risk, Capital Markets, desk analyst, trading, interest rate risk or equivalent demonstrated through one or a
combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications: • Communicate with trading desk and other stakeholder within Risk teams and
• Acting as primary contact for Front Office personnel to request new or changes to limits; provide lifecycle of monitoring for Front Office and WCCR management; escalate unresponsiveness issues to WCCR management.
• 3+ years of market risk, Capital Markets, desk analyst, trading, interest rate risk or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• Coordinating requests with Risk, including the tracking of the request and the constituent/financial documents associated with onboarding
• Reporting new business flows, as well as the tracking of new requests / onboarded accounts to business credits.
• Inputting credit limits (MPE, TRE, tenor) into Wells Fargo Risk System.
• Underwriting of Funds, Limit Management, Regulated Funds Portfolio Underwriting. Hedge Funds Underwriting and Portfolio management and Monitoring
