A Counter Sales Representative is responsible for directly engaging with customers who visit the business location, providing assistance, answering questions, and processing sales transactions. This role is typically in retail, wholesale, or service-based industries where face-to-face customer interaction is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Interaction : Greet customers, identify their needs, and provide information on products or services available. Offer recommendations based on customer requirements.
2. Sales Transactions : Process sales transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and electronic payments. Issue receipts, and handle returns or exchanges when necessary.
3. Product Knowledge : Maintain in-depth knowledge of the product inventory to help customers make informed purchasing decisions. Stay updated on product features, pricing, and availability.
4. Stock Management : Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are properly labeled.
5. Problem Resolution : Address customer concerns or complaints promptly and effectively. Work to resolve issues in a way that maintains customer satisfaction.
6. Sales Goals : Meet or exceed sales targets by upselling or cross-selling products and services that meet customer needs.
7. Administrative Tasks : Maintain accurate sales records, customer data, and inventory levels. Assist with reporting and other administrative duties as required.
