The Counter Sales Executive is responsible for assisting customers at the sales counter, providing product information, and processing sales transactions. This role requires strong customer service skills, in-depth knowledge of products, and the ability to maintain an organized and efficient sales environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction:
Greet customers and assist them in selecting products based on their needs.
Provide detailed product information, including features, benefits, and pricing.
Answer customer inquiries and resolve any complaints or issues in a professional manner.
Sales and Order Processing:
Process customer orders and transactions accurately and efficiently using the point of sale (POS) system.
Upsell and cross-sell products based on customer preferences to increase sales.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of promotions, discounts, and new products to inform customers.
Inventory Management:
Ensure the sales counter is stocked with the appropriate products, maintaining display standards.
Assist with inventory checks and report any stock shortages or discrepancies.
Work with the warehouse or stockroom team to ensure timely product replenishment.
Customer Service Excellence:
Provide high levels of customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Handle returns, exchanges, and warranty claims as per company policies.
Address customer complaints or concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary.
Sales Targets and Reporting:
Meet or exceed sales targets set by the management team.
Maintain records of daily sales transactions and report on sales performance.
Participate in sales promotions and events to drive sales
Administrative Tasks:
Maintain accurate and organized customer records and sales documentation.
Assist in keeping the counter area clean and organized, ensuring a professional presentation.
Coordinate with the sales team to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business or a related field is a plus.
Experience:
1-2 years of experience in sales or customer service, preferably in a retail or counter sales environment.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
Basic knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge.
Proficiency in using POS systems, cash registers, and computer software.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
Ability to work at a sales counter, engaging with customers throughout the shift.
May involve standing for long periods and handling light
