Position: Counsellor (FEMALE ONLY), Experienced candidates, Aviation Industry candidates will be preferred.

Location: Riti Eye Care Hospital, Prayagraj

Are you passionate about providing compassionate support to patients undergoing cataract surgery? Riti Eye Care Hospital in Prayagraj is seeking a dedicated Cataract Surgery Counsellor to join our team and guide patients through their surgical journey.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial consultations with patients considering cataract surgery, assessing their medical history, visual concerns, and expectations.
• Educate patients and their families about the cataract surgery process, including pre-operative preparations, surgical procedures, and post-operative care.
• Address patient inquiries and concerns, providing clear and accurate information to help them make informed decisions about their treatment options.
• Collaborate closely with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and seamless transitions throughout the surgical process.
• Offer emotional support and encouragement to patients, helping them feel empowered and confident about their decision to undergo cataract surgery.
• Follow up with patients post-operatively to monitor their recovery progress, address any issues or complications, and provide ongoing support as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Nursing, or a related field.
• Previous experience in patient counselling or healthcare advocacy, preferably in an ophthalmology setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to empathize and connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of cataract surgery procedures, pre-operative assessments, and post-operative care protocols.
• Empathetic listening skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, prioritizing patient needs and preferences.
