Position Overview:
The Counseling Psychologist provides psychological services, support, and guidance to individuals dealing with emotional, behavioral, or psychological challenges. This role focuses on helping clients improve their mental health, develop coping strategies, and enhance their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct Assessments: Administer psychological assessments to diagnose emotional or psychological disorders, determine treatment needs, and establish appropriate therapy plans.
• Provide Counseling and Therapy: Offer individual, group, or family counseling sessions, using therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, or solution-focused therapy.
• Develop Treatment Plans: Create and implement personalized treatment plans based on each client's needs, goals, and therapeutic progress.
• Crisis Intervention: Provide support during mental health crises, including risk assessment, safety planning, and referrals to emergency services when necessary.
• Monitor Progress: Regularly assess and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Educate and Advocate: Conduct workshops, offer resources, and advocate for mental health awareness within the community.
Qualifications:
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology or Clinical Psychology.
• Licensed as a Counseling Psychologist.
• Proven experience in therapeutic techniques and psychological assessment.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and empathetic skills.
