The Assistant Costing Manager will support the costing manager and is responsible for overseeing all costing activities within the organisation. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, excellent leadership abilities, and extensive experience in cost management within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring accurate cost allocation, optimizing cost control processes, ability to work collaboratively with various departments and contributing to the overall financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Analysis and Control:
o Oversee the preparation and analysis of cost reports and financial statements.
o Conduct regular cost reviews and variance analysis to ensure cost efficiency.
o Implement cost control measures and recommend cost reduction strategies.
Cost Accounting Management:
o Assist in developing and maintaining the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization.
o Ensure accurate and timely recording of all production costs, including materials, labour, and overhead.
o Monitor and analyse cost variances and suggest corrective actions.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
o Lead the budgeting process for the Costing Department.
o Prepare and present annual budget and financial forecasts and projections.
o Analyse and report on budget variances and assist in the development of cost control strategies.
Inventory and Production Costing:
o Supervise the accurate allocation of costs to products and services.
o Ensure proper costing of inventory, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
o Collaborate with production and inventory management teams to maintain cost accuracy.
Financial Reporting:
o Prepare detailed costing reports and present findings for management review.
o Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
o Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audits.
o Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries related to cost accounting.
Leadership and Team Management:
o Lead, mentor, and develop the Costing Department team.
o Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
o Coordinate with other departments to support organizational goals.

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?75,000.00 per month
