: Corporate Chief Engineer - Hotels Position: Corporate Chief Engineer - Hotels Location: Pride Hotels Head Office, Mumbai Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Leadership:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for engineering and maintenance across all hotel properties.
- Align engineering operations with the company\xe2\x80\x99s overall goals and objectives.
- Identify opportunities for technological advancements and process improvements.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee daily engineering and maintenance operations to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance and engineering tasks.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective completion of all maintenance and repair projects.
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage major renovation and construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor project progress and quality.
- Budget and Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the engineering department\xe2\x80\x99s budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
- Monitor and control expenditures to meet financial targets.
- Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality and safety.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and maintenance staff to achieve operational excellence.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of engineering personnel.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with local, state, and national regulations and standards.
- Implement and monitor health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Energy Management:
- Develop and implement energy management programs to reduce consumption and increase efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze energy usage to identify areas for improvement.
- Promote sustainable practices and green initiatives across hotel properties.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including hotel managers, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the COO and other senior executives.
- Represent the engineering department in corporate meetings and industry events.
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field). Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree or MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in hotel engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale engineering operations and projects.
