What you'll do:
You will be providing legal services as a key member of the Corporate, Securities and M&A section of HPE's Legal Department ( CSM&A ).
In your role as a CSM&A attorney, you will be working on a wide variety of transactions involving intra-group entities, such as distributions, contributions, mergers, liquidations as well as corporate, governance, finance and integration matters on a WW basis.
You will also be involved in day-to-day and annual corporate compliance of world-wide holding and operating entities overseeing matters such as powers of attorneys or adoption of annual accounts.
You will report to a CSM&A Director based in Geneva, Switzerland.
The role requires the provision of legal advice to HPE's business units and mainly to the Global Tax, Controllership and Treasury teams in HPE.
The position is based in Bangalore, India. The ideal candidate is a candidate with a passion for understanding corporate structuring holding a Bachelor's Degree qualification in Law (LLB). 3 to 6 years' experience in corporate law in a top tier private law firm or the legal department of a large corporation is a plus.
What you need to bring:
• Excellent presentation, writing and organisational skills;
• Excellent people and communication skills;
• Ability to adapt to a large and complex structure with varying priorities;
• Ability to work under pressure to deadlines;
• Strong work ethic and ability to prioritize and follow through on numerous projects.
A keen interest in technology (in particular an interest in utilizing technology to solve legal problems or streamline legal processes) is a plus.
Education :
• Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university, with strong academic background;
• Company Secretary qualification is a plus.
Experience : 3-6 years in a top tier firm or in an in-house legal department of a large corporation.
Language : Fluent English, as well as excellent written and spoken language skills. Skills in any other language commonly used in business settings is a plus.
