Job Description
Transcribing information: Transcribing patient information into medical codes from documents like physician's notes, lab reports, and procedures
Ensuring accuracy: Checking that medical records are complete and accurate, and that they comply with coding guidelines
Communicating: Communicating with medical providers and insurance companies to confirm or get details
Using technology: Using coding software and patient record platforms
Maintaining confidentiality: Ensuring the security and confidentiality of patient information
Providing training: Providing technical guidance and training to physicians and staff
