Coordinator - Village Development & Volunteer Engagement (Candidate with
Kannada Proficiency required)
We are looking for a young and passionate individual with 1-2 years of experience in community
development, volunteer coordination, or social impact programs. The role involves coordinating village
development programs, mobilizing student volunteers, and fostering sustainable community partnerships
at the Centre for Social Impact, Chanakya University, Devanahalli.
Since the position demands language proficiency, KNOWLEDGE OF ORAL AND WRITTEN
COMMUNICATION IN KANNADA IS VERY MUCH ESSENTIAL.
The tasks include:
Conducting village surveys to identify needs, challenges, and development opportunities.
Engaging college volunteers in meaningful community projects.
Planning and Implementing community development initiatives in villages and Government Schools.
Coordinating capacity-building workshops and ensuring active participation from community
stakeholders.
Organizing and conducting Volunteerism Orientation Programs for students and faculty.
Train and mentor student volunteers and assign them to impactful projects.
Developing and maintaining a structured system for volunteer tracking, evaluation, and reporting.
Conducting regular meetings with stakeholders, including NGOs, panchayat representatives, and
grassroots organizations.
Preparing project reports and impact assessments.
Selection Criteria:
LOCATION Chanakya University, Devanahalli [Bengaluru Rural]
Age 23 yrs to 35yrs
Education Master's degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Public health or
related fields with 1-2 years of work experience
Languages needed English, Kannada
Commitment Minimum 2 year
Work Timing 9:30 am - 6 pm,
Able to work flexible hours even in weekends when required
Salary o Rs 20,000 to Rs 35000 per month
Skills Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Experience in project execution, community development,
project designing, and volunteer coordination.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent oral and written communication in English.
Strong interpersonal skills to engage with students, faculty, and
community members.
Report writing and impact assessment capabilities.
Other requirements The person should be ready to travel as the work requires 70% field
work.
