Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and ensure the highest quality in food presentation. Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation and cooking of food under the guidance of senior chefs.
• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
• Follow recipes and instructions to prepare dishes in a timely manner.
• Ensure food is properly stored and labeled.
• Assist with inventory checks and stock rotation.
• Keep workstations clean and organized at all times.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen.
• Learn and develop cooking techniques and culinary skills from senior chefs.
Qualifications:
• Diploma or certificate in culinary arts or relevant field (preferred).
• Previous kitchen experience is a plus but not required for entry-level positions.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
