Roles:
Food Preparation:
• Prepares ingredients and cooking components according to the franchise's recipes and standards.
• Measures and mixes ingredients to ensure the consistency and quality of dishes.
Cooking:
• Cooks dishes according to the menu, ensuring they meet the franchise's presentation and taste standards.
• Operates kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, fryers, and stoves.
Food Safety and Hygiene:
• Maintains a clean and organized kitchen area.
• Adheres to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers.
Inventory Management:
• Keeps track of inventory levels and reports shortages to the kitchen manager or supervisor.
• Assists in the ordering and receiving of food supplies.
Team Collaboration:
• Works with other kitchen staff and front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate food service.
• Communicates effectively with team members to coordinate food preparation and delivery.
Customer Service:
• Occasionally interacts with customers, especially in open kitchen settings, to provide a positive dining experience.
• Handles special requests and dietary restrictions as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, seasoning meat, and preparing sauces.
• Follow recipes and portion controls as set by the restaurant management.
Cooking:
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely manner.
Cleanliness:
• Maintain a clean working environment, including washing dishes, cleaning countertops, and disposing of waste.
• Follow sanitation procedures and safety standards in the kitchen.
Quality Control:
• Ensure food quality by checking freshness, cooking times, and adherence to franchise standards.
• Address any issues with food preparation or presentation immediately.
Equipment Maintenance:
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment correctly.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the kitchen manager.
Adherence to Policies:
• Follow all franchise policies and procedures, including dress code, attendance, and conduct.
• Participate in any required training or meetings.
Adaptability:
• Be prepared to assist with different tasks in the kitchen as needed.
• Stay updated on new menu items or changes to existing items.
Customer Interaction:
• Occasionally engage with customers to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns.
