Key Responsibilities:
• Baking and Food Preparation:
• Assist in the preparation and baking of a variety of bakery products, including breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, and specialty items.
• Follow recipes, measure ingredients, and ensure products are baked to perfection.
• Decorate cakes and pastries to company standards, including piping, icing, and garnishing.
• Assist in the preparation of dough, batters, and fillings as needed.
• Product Quality Control:
• Ensure that all baked goods are fresh, high-quality, and visually appealing.
• Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product appearance.
• Inspect ingredients and products for freshness and quality, discarding any items that do not meet company standards.
• Customer Service:
• Provide friendly and efficient service to customers in a retail bakery setting.
• Assist customers with product selection, answer inquiries about ingredients, and make recommendations.
• Handle customer orders, package items neatly, and ensure a positive customer experience.
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor and manage the bakery's ingredient inventory, assisting in restocking when needed.
• Help maintain proper storage of ingredients and finished products, ensuring freshness and organization.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and checking orders for accuracy.
• Cleanliness and Organization:
• Keep the bakery workspace clean and organized, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Clean baking tools, equipment, and utensils regularly.
• Ensure the retail area and display cases are clean and well-stocked throughout the day.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with the bakery team to ensure smooth operations and meet production targets.
• Assist in the training of new staff members as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience : Previous experience in a bakery or food production environment is preferred, but not required.
• Skills :
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes precisely.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical Requirements :
• Ability to lift up to [weight limit], stand for extended periods, and work in a hot environment.
