Overview: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our bustling caf\xc3\xa9. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about creating delicious and visually appealing dishes while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. This role requires someone who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with other team members. Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Quality Control: Ensure all dishes are consistently prepared and served according to the caf\xc3\xa9\'s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
- Menu Development: Assist in developing new menu items and specials based on seasonal availability and customer demand.
- Kitchen Operations: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Stock Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with caf\xc3\xa9 staff to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer service.
- Adherence to Regulations: Comply with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Proven experience as a Cook in a caf\xc3\xa9, restaurant, or similar environment.
- Solid understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent certification is a plus.
