Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Personal Care:

Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Providing mobility assistance (walking, transferring, using assistive devices). Managing incontinence care if needed.

Meal Preparation:

Cooking and serving meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences. Assisting with eating if necessary.

Medication Management:

Reminding the individual to take medications as prescribed. Monitoring potential side effects.

Home Management:

Maintaining a clean and safe living environment. Performing light housekeeping tasks like laundry and dishes.

Companionship:

Engaging in conversation and social activities. Accompanying to appointments, outings, or community events.

Communication and Documentation:

Maintaining detailed records of daily activities and observations. Communicating effectively with the individual, family members, and healthcare professionals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Compassionate and Patient Attitude:

Demonstrating genuine care and understanding towards individuals with disabilities.

Strong Communication Skills:

Ability to listen actively and communicate clearly with the individual and their support network.

Physical Ability:

Capability to perform physical tasks like lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility.

Basic Medical Knowledge:

Understanding of basic health conditions and ability to monitor vital signs.

Flexibility and Adaptability:

Willingness to adjust to changing needs and situations.

Assisting with wheelchair transfers, using assistive devices, and navigating the environment.
