Key Responsibilities:
• Conceptualization Strategy: Develop and implement conceptualization of events, strategies, operational needs aligned with the overall event objectives to drive growth and efficiency for the Events Business.
• Team Leadership: Lead and manage the Events Business team, building a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
• Financial Management: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for the Events Business, ensuring profitability and sustainability.
• Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams in the events sector.
• Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, ministries and supporting associations ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.
• Event Planning: Provide strategic oversight in planning and executing events, ensuring they align with BigMint's standards and objectives.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks in the Events Business to ensure smooth execution.
• Performance Evaluation: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and impact of events.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices in event management.
• Innovation: Drive innovation and continuous improvement in event experiences and operations.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in related field.
• Experience: 10+ years of proven experience in a senior leadership role. Strong network connections within the Metals & Mining Industries and proven exposure to industrial and corporate events within this sector.
• Strategic Thinker: Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills to drive business growth and navigate challenges.
• Leadership: Skilled in navigating diverse team dynamics, inspiring and motivating teams towards common goals.
• Financial Acumen: Sound financial management skills with the ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and drive profitability.
• Client-Focused: Customer-centric mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain client relationships.
• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the events industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
• Travel: Comfortable with frequent national and international travel.
